The clock tower was lit blue on Saturday at 6.30pm to commemorate World Autism Day which is celebrated on April 2.
Cable & Wireless Seychelles (CWS) building in town was also lit up in blue in support of autism.
Other activities are expected to be held to raise awareness on autism during this month as April is also World Autism Month.
Pearl Seychelles Autism Association board member Lyn Lavigne expressed her gratitude to the government for agreeing to allocate the clock tower monument for this special event.
She also thanked other sponsors including CWS.
She said next year the event will be more official and more buildings will take part but for now their aim is to raise awareness and hope people understand why they are lighting up blue.
